Ready, Set… Launch! Davis Bike Club is here!

We are excited to announce our collaboration with Davis Bilingual Elementary Magnet School. This partnership marks the launch of our second bike club with neighborhood schools. The first Bike Club was established at Manzo Elementary. Davis Elementary is located less than 2 miles from El Grupo, and reinforces the commitment to keeping the impact within the neighborhood. In the spirit of socioeconomic access, priority registration is given to youth who live in Dunbar/Spring and Barrio Anita neighborhoods. This also aligns with the shared mission of fostering community relationships and empowering youth through cycling. 

Davis Bike Club is open to 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. El Grupo anticipates 15-18 youth riders in this inaugural session. El Grupo is proud to share that they will provide bikes and equipment for the program, eliminating owning a bike as a barrier to participation. Riders will be coached by the head coaches of Race Team, Bikepacking and Grupito, all existing programs run through El Grupo. The varied specialized expertise of the instructors will allow the riders to learn about all types of cycling, and learn from the best.
